Born and raised in London. Just a normal guy with a moral compass.
What’s so good about PieFed?
It’s instance dependent.
They’re still cosplaying decentralisation. Google hosts images on a separate domain to the one where they serve documents, are they decentralised? When we see more indexers, by all means let’s consider BlueSky decentralised, but until then, they’re just offloading traffic.
As a side note, it’s kinda interesting how that fediverse.info tries to pretend that Lemmy isn’t a thing, all while treating WordPress like it’s the second biggest Fediverse service and not currently trying to fuck over a bunch of users and long-term contributors.
What is Diagon Lemmy?
A bit disingenuous to call explaining what they’re doing as doubling down.
Of course mastodon wanna power grab
I hear you, but it features Mastodon very prominently and Mastodon aren’t exactly reputable for supporting anything. Going as far as to implement things in a manner that breaks compatibility with other Fediverse services.
It’s clearly using iOS design though
The absence of any Lemmy mention seems weird to me.
Seems to be an iOS app from the screenshots on the Play Store.
It’s shocking how many people just outright ignore UX.
So what’s the replacement?
You want Reolink + Frigate
Not Feds 🤮
Sorry, I hate to be that guy, but since you’re dismissing the opinion of one of the people that designed the first decentralised social media protocol, I’m going to assume it’s because you’re better qualified to make the assessment. Can I ask, what are your qualifications?
