This might be a dumb question but is Winamp still FOSS?
As far as I know the WCL isn’t known as being an OSI approved license

I recently learned that Strawberry has native built-in streaming capabilities
not sure if this is what you’re looking for but it’s an option that might be useful for you🤗
well…by selling both the cable and wall adapter as separate items it doubles the packaging by necessity so it was still never about reducing waste
which is why I never have and never will own any of their products.

Does anyone know of a Discord alternative?
With the multiple ethics violations, defending AI right now is to defend the meat grinder that is willing to churn out cash for those at the top at the expense of literally anything and anyone
Countless similiar situations like this is the reason why I find it difficult to help people/groups that display zero-sum behaviour because even if you help them there’s no telling if they’ll attack you in return
I’d rather spend my time helping people/organizations that are already trustworthy or have proven to be reciprocal towards others regardless of status or wealth

Does this mean review/benchmarking sites need to reevaluate all chips after os updates or at least publish the versions used while testing?
pretty much yeah as the performance gains are significant enough to impact a user’s buying decision.
To not update previous benchmarks is to do buyers a disservice as they would no longer be able to make their best informed buying decisions, the only ones who would benefit from a situation like this would be the corporations for no reason
whenever possible I buy games from Itch.io as some devs provide Steam keys alongside their source code and packaged versions for most (if not all) platforms which is usually: [Windows, Linux, Android]

@hungryphrog@lemmy.blahaj.zone I’ve got a couple of questions:
Please read the section below before replying with answers for the above
As you can see, some of these questions I typically ask can get a bit personal hence why I ask that I have private conversations unless the person in question consents and acknowledges that they’re ok with sharing potentially private information (like even writing this out makes me sketched out as mishandling any type of private information can be a serious legal risk)
In the end what matters most to me is helping people figuring out what they want/need
As a freelance IT consultant I could help you choose a laptop if you’d like as this was something I used to do back before the Reddit implosion
Looking online it looks like everyone’s dunking on this half-assed attempt of…something🤔
