No One Knows My Plan, Dirt Bike, and Destination Moon are all top contenders on this album for me. Though knowing it’s got a big milestone happening tomorrow, I think I will give the whole album another listen and see if there are some gems I have forgotten about.

I am a huge cheekfreak, I got to see them in the spring. It was an awesome show. There’s definitely a connection between TMBG and Cheekface. (And that’s not just because of the Ana Ng cover.)

Cherkface shows a bunch of different influences. Some TMBG, some Talking Heads, some CAKE, and other things. I strongly suggest listening to basically everything they’ve released just to appreciate the lyrics. Some of the lines are weird jokes that only click after you’ve heard them a few times.

Apollo 18 was my favorite for a long time, especially listening on shuffle to give Fingertips the intended playback method. But a few years ago I really got into Factory Showroom thanks to my partner. That album is has a lot of really solid songs that showcase the range of their songwriting skills.

Also, streaming services forcing Fingertips to be a single track has made listening to Apollo 18 way less fun.
