F, QBASIC was the first logical programming language I learned in high school back in 2004. It was extremely outdated back then but BASIC (in it’s various forms) is hard to beat when it comes to learning the fundamentals.

The U.S. political Overton window being where it is today, I’m pretty sure it’s much more than 50%
is Rust ready for this?
To my knowledge upgrading to the newer release of any of those linux distros did not cost any money to the users, either.
He alludes to sanctions being a factor but never clarifies on advice from his lawyers. ngl I don’t like the look of it just from a transparency perspective.
I remember seeing that on the shelf next to a copy of SuSe during my regular visits to CompUSA. I had just barely developed an interest in computer gaming at the time, still a few years prior to my first experience with LiGNUx. I always wondered when it turned into Fedora and Red Hat went exclusively enterprise.
I really would prefer them to go after Amazon and Apple before Google, or at least all of them at once.
hmm, a faux hacktivist group certainly would be an excellent and easy way for an intelligence agency to try and redirect anger. hypothetically speaking, of course.
I have a Gazelle12 from 2018 and it’s chassis is dogshit, but when I did my research before purchasing I saw a lot of reviews. They all pointed out that the case was made of flimsy plastic, so I was aware ahead of time of that potential problem. The Oryx Pro was the next Model up for several hundreds more, though. Ultimately, I am happy with my laptop even if I have to disassemble it just to repair the chassis with epoxy periodically. It’s 6 years later and the specs are still more than adequate for 99% of my needs, except for my specific intel processor which isn’t supported by Win11. I consider that a feature as oppose to a problem. The software bloat and planned obsolessence through slowdowns of software on Windows based computers are things I do not miss one bit.
They have since changed their model lineup and I bet the build quality on the other models today aee much better then the Gazelle of 2018.
I don’t even look at that thing. I scroll right past it.
i wouldn’t expect anyone to watch a video longer than 3 minutes on the subject.
it did. in the 90s i was on a plane with my family and a guy sitting near us got drunk and was telling people he had a bomb in his briefcase. all that happened was that he got chewed out by the flight attendant. I could swear she said “we will turn the plane around if we have to!” it was incredibly amusing to watch as someone under 10 years old.
I see that you too have heard the prophecy.
I haven’t used a new printer or an inkjet in a number of years now, but using my 18yo HP laserjet is a matter of plugging it in and checking it’s status under the main distro settings menu. That was also on par with the windows process iirc.
I do remember 20 years ago when I had to sideload pcmcia wifi drivers, though.
Self-host more Gemini content!
It’s easier to steal, copy, or alternatively subpoena a fingerprint.
Biometrics, huh? You know- passwords are more secure…
I love it!
The schadenfreude, I mean.
