I was thinking the same thing, like, “Only because we aren’t traveling the stars yet.”

Don’t underestimate the power of executives to make really dumb choices. My company decided we’d create our own ticketing system this year, and now my Firefox tab consumes multiple gigabytes of ram…
I was recently in college for IT, and my professors said a couple of times that it’s best practice just to assume that all of your info has already been stolen
You have a big paper due on Monday? Don’t smoke until it’s done, because you won’t get more creative, you’ll just not do it.
I actually love writing while high. Everything flows so much more easily for me, and I make connections I might not otherwise. It’s great when I’m having trouble just getting words on the page. It does usually require an extra passover in editing though lol
The university I went to told us not to bother with unpaid internships, because it’s just a sign the company doesn’t care about you. Paid internships pretty much always still give college credit.
As with most bleeding edge technology, all the danger comes from capitalism, and not the technology itself.
I don’t think Trump and his ilk are known for being attractive
If they can, I’m going to buy a whole bunch of vibrators that charge via USB
Companies still shouldn’t steal fanart. If a fan makes something they like, they should work with the fan to make it official in a way that satisfies both parties. The community would love seeing that, and the company would get what they want for a reasonable price, and probably still cheaper than paying their own artists.
A comment lower in the thread says Bungie has reached out to this person, and are handling it well, which sounds great!
Big tiddy Oprah Vtuber is inevitable
Can’t calculate the net yet, since we don’t know the gross. He has the capability to cause massive damage with the power he wields. It’s already clear that he’s incapable of providing an unbiased platform. It needs to belong to the people or it can never be trusted
He’s so insecure though, all the mocking he receives online is pretty satisfying
A pineapple leaf on its own could be any kind of long thin leaf though. It’s only on a pineapple that they’re obvious
Depends on where you live. We don’t have any oaks where I grew up. I couldn’t tell you what their leaves look like
Being able to reproduce it from memory is different from recognizing it though
I used to live in a place like where you do now. There’s a chance you’ll run into someone cool, but it’s very low. I had to move to the city to form an actual friend group
Any time you would use “They say,” like “You know what they say,” is referring to the general populous
Doesn’t really matter. Science and military stuff in the US already use metric instead of imperial. Having one easy to read format for everyday use, and a separate precise format for technical use wouldn’t be a problem
A lot of reddit’s most popular content is stuff like TrueOffMyChest from throwaway accounts. Robust privacy protection would result in more of those posts, and more traffic overall, but reddit doesn’t care about making the site work, they’ve dedicated themselves to milking the individual users for all they’re worth. It’s a bit like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. Because look, now we’re all here, generating content on a competing platform
