You can feel that way. but I see it as supporting the product not the people. When I think of the people behind the biggest social media companies in the world they’re awful far worse than some tankie larper online and the product is worse.
Mastodon does refuse to deal with its issues but i wouldnt say that about Lemmy. Lemmy just has a very small dev team working off no funding.

Do you have any examples of Dems telling people things werent bad? The closest things I can think of is dems saying we know things are bad but we are working on them and they are getting better. It feels like a republican talking point that dems think things are good.
I think staying with cortana and focusing on making that a useful feature would be a better strat. It would be cool to have a little cortana robot inside your computer helping you with various tasks.

Growing up is hard. My dad was my hero, now im older and I can see all the flaws he has. When you have a drunk in the family it’s so hard to balance keeping yourself safe and helping them. My dad managed to give up alcohol at 60 and now he’s 2 years sober. I couldn’t be prouder of him for it.
What a glowing review. When I see these articles I always expect that they will experience one issue and give up or treat their posts exactly like the old platform and be disappointed when it’s doesn’t work.

I still think the technology would be getting pushed forward even if it was only slightly better than humans. However it is far safer than humans which is why its growing rapidly in application.
When people talk about joining the Fediverse one of the main reasons mentioned for not staying is that people will jump on them over a tiny mistake. That’s what I saw your comment to be.
Telling people “don’t ever fucking mention another issue when a women is talking” is stupid. The more comments we get on lemmy the better. The more discussion the better. The medium allows discussion to fork without derailing anything. So if people want to respond to that comment and discuss then nothing is taken away from any of the other comments in this thread and people who don’t care can just minimize that comment and all the rest in that comment thread.
