Ugh, I didnt think about that😬
Yo [he/him]
Ugh, I didnt think about that😬
To not keep you waiting any further, I want to let you know I’ll probably not do that. Besides, I havent ever edited wikipedia.😅 I havent even tried the program yet. Thank you creating this, if I check the program in the future I’ll see what I can do.
(I suppose you have talked to the appropriate wikipedia mainteners, right?)
Also if anyone else sees this and adds it, please let us know.
I dont understand😅
I think I did something wrong and the option to use umu through lutris disappeared, lol. I’ll have to tinker with them.
I had the same issue and I cant understand why…
I’m probably gonna end up using these (in layers)
wine-ge/umu-launcher -> bottles -> OpenGamepadUI
(I’m not very sure what umu launcher should do and if it replaces wine-ge)
Yeah, I think the lutris, bottles and heoric developers all work together on umu and will probably try to integrate it on their apps
I think that was the purpose of the name lol
I wasnt awarw of that, hm
After messing a bit around with bottles, lutris and heroic, I think I had most success with bottles.
Now there’s umu launcher in the game too, I’d like to use it in bottles/lutris somehow
I see I see
Also, just noticed that your name is debian guy.😆 I guess it makes sense :)
Heyy, I’m too in the process of moving from windows (10) to debian :) (though I’m very new to linux, but not new to open source software)
I was surprised that notepad++ didnt have native support for linux and while I tried many stuff, indeed I couldnt find a real replacement. I have kinda concluded that I will either use bottles with wine to run notepad++ (takes around half a minute to open) or use Geany and try to customize it as much as I can. (There are also Notepadqq which is kinda dead and NotepadNext which is still in very early stage.) I’ll probably go with Geany and chech on NotepadNext if it evers becomes good enough.
I had a recent post about running windows stuff on linux and people gave me some good advice here: https://mander.xyz/post/18701186
Edit: I just found Textadept, might check it later (found it from a comment under this video).
Yeah it makes sense that they dont last long enough
Wut👀 wow, thanks
Might check it soon
I was thinking something similar too:
Why almond/soy milk is more expensivs than cow milk? To make almond/soy milk you just need to maintain the plants. To make cow milk you need to have cow food, take care of the cow etc. and generally it seems much more inefficient than making plant-based milk. I dont know if they use the whole almond/soy etc to make the milk or only part of them, but still.
On this wikipedia article, under Nutrition and Sustainability, you can see for example that while Soy and oat milks have around half (almond has around ¼) the calories of cow milk (plant based milks seem to be healthier too, due to lower saturated fats and sugar contents), they are much more efficient to produce. Like, oat milk seems to be around 6-7 times more efficient to produce than cow milk which counters the fact that it may have half the calories.
Some may consider cow milk as byproduct of the meat industry, but since baby cows need to feed from it and cows already spend energy to make it, I dont think of it that much as byproduct, it’s necessary.
As someone people said though, it probably is due to the financial incentives given to the cow milk industry🤷
Maybe they don’t want women to vote at all…
I switched to DroidFS from EDS lite (a kinda dead open source alternative) few months ago. It’s soooo nice.
I think it’s the first app that can open a big video without allocating that space in internal storage. Previously, if I had a 1gb encrypted video, apps would decrypt it in internal storage and play it, temporarily taking up an extra gigabyte (this was an issue if I didn’t have enough space).
I’m using gocryptfs because I actually kinda like seeing the file structured, in case I need to delete a folder or file without decrypting the storage, and I can decrypt those files on pc too (I think both windows and linux have an app for this).
Oh, I’m using Thunder, I wasn’t aware of this, thank you!
Edit: I saw you deleted your comment, was it wrong?
NeutriNote CE. It can save and sync to local folders, probably with some external app you can configure it to sync to cloud. It has auto mirror/backup features.
What I like is the way you can navigate through notes and its powerful search function. It also has some extra features which I don’t use. It also has a very detailed manual if you need any help.
LETS GOOO
At least something good happened today
