Over the past few hours, owners of the Chromecast (2nd gen) and Chromecast Audio haven’t been able to Cast any audio or video content.

If you’re getting “Untrusted device” on your Chromecast today, you’re not alone. It looks like an expired cert.

    There’s nothing else like the Chromecast audio, and it’s a crying shame that Google discontinued them. I have four and rely on them every day. I sure hope they will fix this issue.

          The mini is pretty cheap but unfortunately doesn’t have google cast.

          The pro is still an excellent value as it has way better DACs than the google cast and a lot more format support. But yes, on an absolute cost perspective it’s not as cheap as the old chrome cast audios were.

          But there’s still nothing available at this level of quality and features at this price , most comparible stuff is 2-3x the price.
