The antifascist film ends with this impassioned speech to the audience opposing all forms of oppression.
Charlie Chaplin was quite the guy. Did his own stunts, spoke out against fascism… cool beans
When Charlie Chaplin married Oona O’Neill in June 1943, he at last found true happiness, and it seems they had both found their soul mates, despite the fact that Oona was only 18, and Charlie was 53.

I’ve always wondered, if someone acts like you do, would saying “you first” still be a rule break? I suppose by engaging at all I’ve already lost.
By saying your a Nazi, you already lost.
It’s not funny and it’s not cute.
And if you need that explained, you really should jump off a bridge.
Fun fact: Chaplin had to finance the film himself, because nobody in the US film industry wanted to fund it in order to not anger the Nazis and potentially lose the lucrative German market.

Captain America #1 showed Cap punching Hitler. It came out before Pearl Harbor, and the artist, Jack Kirby, was threatened by local Nazi sympathizers.

threatened by local Nazi sympathizers.
That’s kind of their thing.
I remember a time when hating Nazis was considered a prerequisite for being an American.
It’s an excellent speech. I highly recommend a watch if you haven’t heard it.
