They’ve always been for-profit viruses. There’s an entire underground market where you get paid X dollars every time you get someone to install said virus. The people adding viruses to pirate sites and torrent downloads have always done it for profit, not fun. Of course there may be one or two black hats out there just trying to fuck shit up, but the majority of it has always been about money.

And they’re usually not run by US Citizens, so there’s not much that can be done in the way of actual punishment.

They’ve always sought them out, but now the Department of Homeland Security is doing corporate bidding.

There’s no “over”. Coronavirus is here to stay now, just like the flu. Thankfully it has become a lot more benign as it has mutated, and we know a lot more about it and have vaccines now, so it’s pretty manageable.

That happens to almost anyone on a long enough timeline. You have to let yourself be uncomfortable while you rebuild those social skills.

Immigrant would be someone coming to your country, emigrant is someone leaving your country. So an expat would be an emigrant if anything. I’ve always assumed that it’s short for ex-patriot, since they left their country to go live in another one.

I think the biggest issue is starting your workout with cold muscles. If you’re just doing yoga then it’s no big deal. If you’re running, or hiking, then you don’t really want to do that with cold muscles or injury is more likely.

Mutual combat wasn’t uncommon when I was a kid. When two men were sick of each other’s shit, they would fist fight. They wouldn’t fight dirty. When the fight was over they’d often shake hands, and be done with that conflict. The wounds would heal within a couple of weeks. Emotional wounds from harassment and betrayal sometimes never heal.
