I was only thinking of eliminating learned bigotry, but you raise a worthwhile question.

Well, most of humanity has been sexist since time out of mind. Even if AIs are trained on nothing but objective data, they can’t help but mirror our sexist society. They must be carefully programmed to show society as it could be, instead of how it is. At the same time, they have to keep facts right - like the number of fingers on a hand, for example.
Even then, I’m sure we’ll encounter problems. AIs do not “think” in ways we understand.
Sure am glad I couldn’t afford one of those things back when I wanted one.
Well, at least you own it!
You don’t need to know where they’re seeing this or why it’s such a concern. This is No Stupid Questions. It’s not a requirement that they justify their question to your satisfaction. Their question had nothing to do with the temperament of users, either.
It’s funny either way. In case it’s arson, though, I hope whoever did it gets away clean.
“The high price of eggs is in no way President Trump’s fault,” Kirk writes. “Almost all the increase took place during Biden’s final months in office.”
This attempt at misdirection is so artfully sleazy I have to appreciate it. It should be taught in classes.
It’s still misdirection, though. It doesn’t matter WHO was in office, or WHAT the price of eggs was. Trump campaigned on the promise to lower those prices.
He’s not annoyed because the public doesn’t understand. He’s annoyed at the public for having the audacity to call him out on his bullshit.
I think they’re saving that one, and don’t want to be that aggressive unless it’s necessary.
“A common lament” is pure gold. I love how proud Hobbes is of being a tiger.
I’m sure this will work exactly as planned, and have no negative consequences whatsoever.
This is just the right kind of absurd for our current government circus. I believe the headline completely without even reading the article.
Neither do I, but sometimes people are just fantastically stupid.
Judging by the home page, it appears to be a legitimate news source.
At best, meat grinders are amazingly thoughtless. At worst, they’re a cruel, unfunny prank.
Look at how Justice Amy Coney Barrett looks at our duly elected President, the man who put her on the Supreme Court. She looks very bitter.
Um, justices don’t owe the president who selected them any favors. Was she supposed to be fawning over him? If she’s beginning to think for herself, and won’t let the big orange baby have everything he wants, good.
Besides, anyone who says she’s “not conservative enough” hasn’t been paying attention.
This is a very thoughtful reply. Thank you for taking the time to write it.
I don’t think he has that authority, but he’d do it anyway. Except he wouldn’t, because fuck you.
I wonder if she’s making those “jokes” because she’s overcompensating, because she’s hanging out with shitty people, or both?
Whatever the reason, I think talking to her is the way to go.
Note: those appear to be actual pants, and not just pajama bottoms. This is real dedication to the bit.
I haven’t printed anything in years, but damn, this sucks.
“I can’t get laid, so I want to make it as inconvenient as possible for everyone else. Also, my wife left me for a man who doesn’t treat her like a bangmaid, so I want to make ‘adultary’ a major offense.”
